I have been working on this daisyhillstudio.art.blog/metamorphosis-at-work/ It’s called “I’m stretching in purple” When I first started embellishing it it was a struggle but finally when I took ivory worsted weight yarn and did French knots on it, that made it pop. All the beading and metallic/ wool yarn along with the knots are getting the depth I was looking for. Still working on it and considering it’s frame.

Fun colors! The French knots did help with the embellishments.

It really was a torture for me until the white French knots. This one was where I used hot glue to have raised stitches. Using embroidery floss to cover the hot glue.

One of my friends here used to use puff paint on her pieces. She would partially cover portions with stitching but left other areas paint. It gave an interesting contrast in texture/sheen.

The french knots and some nice depth and make everything else pop.
