I just found out that I won Best Of Show at a gallery exhibit with the theme "Be Vibrant." Best of show that included all types of painting, sculpture, wood carvings, fiber arts, jewelry and mixed media assemblage. This is the first time I have ever gotten best of show in any exhibit, much less one with such a wide range of categories. I mounted my fiber art onto a canvas where I painted one of the elements from the fiber art. This is the third award I have gotten in one week.
It seems like you work along for years and then someone finally notices. You can see it on my latest post on my blog. "Oriental Garden."

Thank you everyone. I am now in the process of taking all of my work and mounting it on gallery wrapped canvas. By painting them all black and then deciding what design elements would work best with each piece, it allows me to give the appearance of unity in any exhibit. They almost look like a series. I don't know if that made sense, but I don't know why I did not think of this before. It is such a great design tool.

That is an excellent idea, Judy! I often think of mounting felt on some canvases I have, but they don't look right on white, it never occured to me to paint them black!

If you do paint canvas black with acryic paint, make sure you use some kind of acrylic varnish on top of it. Otherwise the corners can have worn off paint on them. I use Liquitex acrylic varnish. I like the matt finish because I don't like shine. It is cheap, but does the job.

I'd probably use spray paint. I don't think I've got the time or patience to paint and varnish, but I'll remember that about corners

I have to use an artist grade and thicker paint. However, I do carry all my work from exhibit to exhibit and that causes a lot of wear and tear if things are not well protected. I also have to wrap everything with bubble wrap on the corners.
