Guidance please—-I have been looking through the boards and am not quite sure where my designing fits in. Maybe mixed media? Wet felting? Machine felting?(meaning washing machine?) Spinning, weaving, Knitting, crocheting?
I don’t want my work to be irrelevant in boards where I might place them and also to not be overlooked because of the usage of “crochet” as I think the completed work is aligned with the felting.
Thank you for your patience with me as this is the first time, I believe that this board, aligns with my final outcome of designs.
FYI- I have already gleened a concept from this site to use in one of my next projects.

I would say mixed media might be your best home, a lot of the topics in there seem to match your skills. Either way our work won't be irrelevant. We all get notified when there is a new post so we'll all be having a look, whichever board's got something new on it.
Glad to see that we're giving you ideas too.

HI, I agree that mixed media seems good but you don't have to stay in one place. you can post different things in different places.

Mixed media seems to be the consensus. I'd love to see more of your work so do please post.
What is your new idea?

There was a lady that posted about vessel work by filling a balloon with beans. Since I crochet and it has to be larger than I want it to be before felting. Filling the balloon with weight will keep it in the washer and add friction too.

You can use marbles for this too.

You can use marbles for this too. Interesting thought. Would have to pack them in pretty good to ensure they don’t make too much noise before the felting process takes hold.

You can use marbles for this too. I use golf balls - 4 or 5 - or a dog's very solid heavy rubber ball loose in my washer, depending upon what I'm felting; and yes they do make a lot of noise - especially the golf balls. But then, my washing machine shares space with my workshop in the garage, so I just get up and leave them to get on with it.
