I am on a par with the average 8 year old when it comes to painting or drawing but back in 2015 I attended a 'fun painting' workshop with Annie. The tutor plonked some stinky mackerel in the middle of the table and showed us how go about painting them with acrylic paints. Here is my effort: I thought I could do better with a felted version so I made this: Recently I decided I'd like to try again and made this one. It's interesting to see how one's style changes over the years.

That is so effective, great colour choices; is there stitching on the one in the last photo? So well done.

Those are great, Lyn! I really like the fact that so much of it seems to be wet-felted, and this is inspiring for me. They become a lot more than stinky mackerels, through the magic of your eyes and fingers. (although I do like a bit of cooked mackerel for my lunch!) Fantastic inspiration! :-)

Great Job lyn. That is exactly how I like my mackerel, in a picture on a wall. LOL

It's mostly wet felted - the needle felting is just embellishment i.e. the markings on the mackerel.
