Hello! I have found this super easy project online for a pretend ice cream toy set: as soon as I will be at home again I would love to make it for my youngest. abeautifulmess.com/felt-ice-cream-sundae-toy-a-no-sew-diy/It's basically just brightly coloured felt balls and a few other bits to add as cream, sprinkles and chocolate sauce. One could also make the cones and cups, although here the author uses paper cups.

Can you trust your children not to try to eat the "cherries"? I suspect that small felt pieces would not be very digestible and might even be a choke hazard as they would easily get stuck, not being smooth and shiny. Apart from that it looks like great fun, though I'd rather have had a real ice cream when I was a child! Ice creams were a rare treat 70 0ddyears ago.

My grand-daughter would have loved this when she was younger! She was always playing with pretend food.

Yes, Ann, that is a good point, and in the article it is suggested not to make the small pieces for younger kids. Luckily, I can go for the full set, as my youngest is way past that phase. :-)
