Love him. Is his eye felt or a bead/"glass" eye? If it's added, can you tell us how you attached it? I'm always looking for safe ways to attach eyes so that if my animal is picked up by a child s/he can't get them off easily. So far I've stuck to stitching them on, but that puts a lot of glass eyes out of contention because safety eyes don't have anything you can attach thread do.

I used wire to attach them and they are fairly secure, but think I’d felt the eyes if the project was for a small child. All very new to me, so just trying different things out.

The puffin is so sweet - he's huggable!
Lovely needle work. How tall is he? Will he be decorative (he's certainly that!) or a soft toy?

He’s decorative (I don’t quite trust my skills yet to make something robust enough to play with!). My little boy has claimed him, so he’s going to live on his windowsill 😊.

Good idea - even though it's not a toy, your son can still enjoy the puffin!

What an adorable project! Your son is a very lucky boy. I really like the details of colour around the eyes and on the beak. Its shape also is very endearing. Caterina
