Here is a picture of a piece I finished a while back but kept under wraps as it was entered in to an art exhibition/competition. I didn't win anything for it but someone bought it so I was very pleased. It was inspired by this photo, but as the sea was just a flat black line I inverted the image and used the blue sky in the photo as the blue sea in the felt. It's made using a Felbi pre-felt as a base and topped with merino wool. To give an idea of size, it's about 1.5metres wide.

It's beautiful - I commented on your blog as well. It's wonderful that you sold it.

congratulations on the sale. Without the other picture there you would never know you turned it upside down.

It is just beautiful. Is it all wet felted or you added accents by needling?

It is superb ! I think I commented on your blog too. A good bit of lateral thinking to hang it 'upside-down'.
