Here it is finished, but I'm not happy with it. Trouble is I just got carried away with my piece of silk paper and didn't really think it through properly! I did raggeddy stitching, fluorescent yellow and orange, to mimic scales, stitched the eye and then went mad with yellow and orange highlighters!

I like it, Lyn, but I liked it before you did all the extra work, so........

I like the fish. I think that the white background is a bit distracting. What about putting him in the sea?

I'm not going to do anything with it Ruth....except consign it to 'the box' where it may never see the light of day again.
What happened was.....I had this really pretty piece of silk paper in my hand and I was in such a rush to use it that I didn't consider background or what I was going to do next.......bad, bad idea.
p.s. just read your comment again 'What about putting him in the sea?' and it crossed my mind that giving him a decent burial at sea might be the only proper thing to do.

I thought for a minute you'd used some of the orange bag netting I like it, it's interesting and different

Funny you should say that Zed - it did cross my mind to use netting!

I would put a dark background. Like navy blue or black. That would really make the little fish pop. I like it.

I think its interesting too. I think I would have liked it better without the highlighter but that's just me. Could you cut it out and mount it on a darker background? It would make it pop better and show it off.
