Thanks Ladies! Yes I had a great time, and I sold really well! Totally beside myself with surprise! I sold nearly all of my cards, ditto pincushions, and a fair amount of spec cases, bags, framed pictures and wall hangings, tea cozies, brooches, and a journal cover. Very happy! A photo of the soaps. www.dropbox.com/s/xsgonlfkuw99onp/20171119_095408.jpg?dl=0

I'm not surprised that you sold so many soaps - they were attractively and informatively presented (I like the image of the bath).
And it's great news that you sold so many of your items (not just the lower-priced ones) well done!

Beautiful display! I’m not surprised you sold so many, I imagine customers couldn’t help themselves with all the wonderful colors and fancy wrapping!

Thanks Marilyn! If potential customers showed an interest, I let them peruse for the optimum time then started the conversation with 'Are you familiar with felted soaps?', then continued to explain what they were, the benefits etc, and I would say nine times out of ten I made the sale!

Great display and sign. I have used the bathtub and those bubbles on signs before.

Well done on all the sales, Tracey! I have a little business card sized print out with info for the soaps if people want to take one with them. I love the puzzled look as they pick a soap up, sniff and say 'felted soap?!' and then various follow up questions. I only tell them what's on the card, but they are great conversation starters, I usually finish by saying something like 'and when the soap's gone you're left with a little woolly pouch you can use for other stuff'. Someone yesterday said 'like fill it with bits of other soap' I admit, I did the 'ooh err misus' to the nice smelling drawers

Thanks Zed! I did a print out info sheet too, and I told customers that I had put one in the bag with their soap. Yes you can't beat nice smelling drawers......

It's a good thing Merino is antibacterial with the amount of people who sniff the same soap!

One customer said is the soap vegan, I said I doubted it very much, she then said well the wool won't be either anyway.

Those kind of people just try to move along. people are always asking what you use the little bit of felt at the end for. I say it makes a nice cat toy.
