Wet felted and then machine stitched. Fabricated into a postcard with stiff interfacing and white muslin on the opposite side. The postcard was made for an exchange and was sent off in the US Mail.

Cool It looks shiny, is that an optical illusion?

It does have silk on the top layer which may be the shiny part.

Very pretty and the colour combo works well.
I hope the postman is kind to your card and handles it carefully!

At one time I was sending lots of these cards. I usually pay more to have them handstamped so they don't go through the machines. I have even sent them overseas and none have been lost or damaged. These exchanges are great fun. You can work in a small size to try out different processes without having to do something big. Then you get a card from someone else for your efforts.

I could do a mini tutorial on how to make a felt postcard, post it on the blog and then we could see who wants to swap.

sounds great. I wanted to do artists cards at one time but post cards are more practical for sending.

I'll try to get a short tutorial done after I get back from my first Level II Hand and Machine stitch class that starts next Wednesday.
