I've got a box that I keep chucking experiments and "learning pieces" (aka mistakes!) into and every now and then I trawl through it to see what I can turn pieces into to sell on my market stand. My latest items are these Biscornu pincushions, very easy to make from squares of felt with a bit of hand stitching around the edges and a few beads for embellishment.

Well, those are certainly cute. What great Christmas stocking stuffers. Thanks for sharing, Christie. I love them.

Not only pretty but useful too - I wouldn't be without a pin cushion!

Ann, I just stuff them with other offcuts from my scraps box that I cut into small pieces. They could have a nice sachet of herbs in the middle for the scent and then could go into drawers/cupboards. So easy to make and you can change the size and make them bigger or smaller to fit the purpose. These were 10cm each side.

I could do with something like this instead of sticking my pins in the felt vessel on my desk They're really nice.

Very nice. I hadn't heard of biscornu, but have looked it up and think I'll have a go. Thanks We can learn such a lot from this forum, and not just felting!
