That was quite educational. Thanks for making the videos. I do not have a drain board like the one in the video and have been doing it inside a large plastic bag. I can see that it needs a lot more scrubbing than I have been doing.

Thanks, Judy I think most people use old towels on tables. If I need more room, I usually put a shower curtain down on the floor.

I had no problem with the sound on the videos Zed, I didn't alter the volume which was on default of max, yet it was perfectly ok.
Videos are great to watch - but how did you manage all that rubbing and rolling without saying anything? I usually mutter and grunt all the way through a bit of felting!
It was interesting to see you use the non-skid stuff to roll up - I still haven't tried that yet - and what kind of netting were you using?

Thanks, Lyn Sniffing is my problem, I did a video last week which was too dark, and I seemed to sniff all the time! The netting is Flyn Lill from Ikea. Once it's worn a bit it's easier to rub in all directions/circles etc

Lovely videos, Zed. I can't believe the amount of time you spend scrubbing as opposed to rolling. I think I have been doing it the opposite way, more rolling than scrubbing! But I have to say I am much slower than you!

Thanks, Ruth I have a really broad accent, I don't think many people could understand me! Thanks, Pam This was only a small piece. I just can't do all that rolling, even though I've got shoulders like a swimmer!

Hmm. I posted here a few days ago but its not here. I wanted to hear your accent too. You do rub a lot more than I do. i do roll but i like to throw and kneed to full. you can really get out some aggression if you throw your felt. Its so great and interesting that there are so many ways to get to the same end.

It is funny how there are so many different ways, isn't it? I saw a video from Outback fibers on there and they just rolled, then bunched it up in their hands and rolled around like shaping dough balls, but it worked! I don't throw mine unless I really want to get a lot of texture, and I only do it when I know everything is secured if I'm using a lot of extras, organza is a pain for coming off if I throw it too early.

They were awesome Zed and now i know why you have such nice even felted pieces, a lot more rubbing than rolling. Hey we all needed to hear that pommy accent and trust me it cant be any worse than an aussie one lol

Great videos Zed. The sound was fine, didn't need to reduce it. Must get to Ikea for some Flynn Lil, it looks better to work with than the net curtaining I use. I use that rubbery shelf liner stuff too, it's great for fulling.
