I made this simple beach scene pretty much as soon as I became addicted to felting. There are two suggestions in there from a friend, silver and blue metallic threads running in the sea and the needle felted gulls. I have backed it with hessian and the hanger is real driftwood I collected a few years ago. It hangs in my bathroom and the morning sun shows up the metallic threads, and it makes me smile! www.dropbox.com/s/calk6efc8zupiy5/20161022_135022.jpg?dl=0

It is a beautiful wall-hanging Tracey. Love it! I live near the sea and can imagine you looking at it gives you a good start of the day.

Beautiful sea scene. And the hanger is very original. Pitt we cannot see the metalic threads. I believe in reality it looks even greater.

The gulls are great - not easy to get right but you've done it - and the yacht appears to be dashing through the waves at a rate of knots. I love the colours and the hanger, and the picture makes me long for the spring! It is a joyous piece and I hope you enjoy it for years to come.

A great scene. it looks like there is a bit of a wind getting up. A very appropriate hanger that shows it off well.

Beautiful Tracey! I keep looking for branches for hangings, but never find them. Now everything is covered in snow.

It's beautiful! I like how you used the curly locks for the crest of the waves.

Thanks Anne, how did you get on with your gorgeous sea scape? How did the gull turn out? I wish I could do colours like you!

Aaw thanks! I think your colours are terrific. Alas, my gull is still a gull in waiting! I've had a bad week and no time for felting!! (Technology issues at work!) I'm hoping to have a go at the gull this weekend, or at least a practice one as I'm not a confident needle felter!

I am sure it will be great. Look forward to seeing it when you have time to complete it, and you're happy.

I love your picture and I do personally think a bit of bling works well in felt, just lifting an otherwise flatt-ish texture. I'm sure it looks great in morning sunlight.
