Seeing Marilyns posting in the daily fibre challenge and thinking about this 3D one - again a cheat as I made it a year or two back, but it was a three D piece I used as a lampshade

Very nice lampshade Carole. Does it have any support inside (wires?) I am thinking of making one without it but would saturate felt in a lot of stiffener instead.

Pretty shade - and fine enough to allow plenty of light to pass through.

I think if I remember rightly I made cobweb felt then ironed it onto a fusible fabric then machine stitched around the hearts and it stills stands on its own.

Ann, it stands about 9" tall and has about a 4" diameter if my memory serves me well, it's in my house in Bulgaria, and unlike me it's tall and slim :-)

For my third quarter challenge, I wanted to re-do a felted piece I had sone last summer of the view in Breckenridge, CO (Rocky Mountains). I had always felt that the landscape--which was wet-felted then needle-felted--needed more dimension. So I began to add yarn and other fibers to increase the dimension in the mountains. I feel that I am finished, but I am not quite satisfied. Any ideas for adding further dimension to this piece? Breckenridge in June by catwycliff, on Flickr

It's a wonderful piece so full of life! The colours are great as is the contrast between them. My eye is drawn all over it, round and round, then back again - your design is very clever.
