A quick June daily dose just finished. I used the scraps from the vest and one of my scrap flowers to make this bag.

It's adorable Sue! I like the bold use of the red on the white and black. And it's perfect for the 2nd quarter challenge.

Lovely Sue, very striking colours and the White felt has a beautiful sheen. What did you use for the binding?

Two fleeces washed and drying. Will have to wait for more drying space and better weather before I attack the 3rd. Then my grandchildren came yesterday and asked if I'd a couple of their Zwartbles. Well, how could I refuse? But that means I also have an order for 2 jumpers and a hat! Lovely bag Sue!

With the unusual high quantity of rain we're all having this month Judith, rinsing the fleeces must have been a breeze.

Sue, the purse is lovely! Bold use of colors. What fiber was the white?

Thank you everyone, yes Lyn I should have put in the Challenge shouldn't I? Never thought- it is all scraps except the bias binding.
The white fibres are Viscose over Merino ( to reduce pilling and give some shine). I bound the purse with black bias binding in a wide format as the lace wasn't as right on the purse as it was on the vest.

Good to know that viscose stops the piling it gives your bag a lovely sheen. I really like the red rose against the white. So excited to see what happens with all this fleece.

Judith, now you’ve gone and done it! Look at all those fleeces!! Do you have any big plans for the lot? Maybe you could spin the wool for yarn and knit a yurt? I see you have begun making rolags…you are on your way!

Long way to go Cathy. Must get a flick carder at Woolfest on Friday. First off, I'm intending to knit a jumper for myself, incorporating a Shetland lace design. Don't hold your breath for a finished garment. Here's Espresso drying in the breeze CIMG7417 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr
