Sorry Teri, can't help, I haven't used frogs since my dressmaking days back in the 70's and 80's! And I hadn't even heard of felt-making then.

Teri, what if you stitched the felt ropes to give them strength? I saw Lisa Klakulak of StrongFelt use this method so you might check out her blog/Facebook page for more info. But I tried the stitching on the felt rope and it made the rope very sturdy. A bit fiddly on the stitching part though and it takes a bit of practice. Here's the sample I made. The stitching does flatten the rope though. I haven't made a frog though so no help there.

I have made a frog fastener by knitting i-cord and then sewing it into a VERY simple loop. I bet you could knit the i-cord in wool and then machine felt it. .. looking for an i-cord tutorial... www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ0s_2TBwCQ

How do I add photos to this chain? I will try. I don't know if this counts. I used some little scraps of wool to make this present for my son's classmate. It is an owl, since she loves owl. Her birthday party theme was also an owl.

Where are your photos stored mews? If they are on another website, blog, ipernity etc, right click on the photo, select copy image url, then paste that into the rules box form the add picture icon on the forum.

Teri Felt Frogs would be great. I made some Celtic knots for a broach once. Being able to stitch as you go is very helpful.
Yes the owl does count. It turned out really well, very cute. I am sure she loved it.
Great little pouches. I could use one of the round type for my earbuds and some of the extra wires , oh and my square card reader. I think I know hw you would do it. How would you feel about a quick tutorial post on the blog?

Terri ,the felt shouldn't stretch if it felted hard before you twist/roll it into the frog style you want. If you added some viscose it couldn't stretch.
