The vessel is great Elizabeth. I usually use thread, but I like Teri's ideal of contrasting wool. The thread sometimes moves during the felting. The ruffle is beautiful.

I agree that it reminds me of an iris Elizabeth. I really like it. I usually use contrasting wool to find the inner resists. The other thing I noticed when you use plastic as resist, it makes a different sound when you rub over the surface of the wool. You can hear it sliding over the plastic.

I really like the ruffle too and a bearded iris is what it made me think of too. I agree the back doesn't match the front well. I think I would cut the flaps off so you just had the triangle holes showing the yellow. Maybe a few purple and green beads in each triangle would pull it together.

The iris pod is pretty Elizabeth - lovely ruffle and great colours.
I agree with Ann's suggestion for the back and perhaps the beads could match the ones you had intended to put on the front?

I got inspired by an example of Filzfun. Making a wrist-wallet for juwelery or secret things. So, I wanted to make something like that for my niece. She goes often to those crowded events with her boyfriend. It could be easy to take your entrance tickets with you or money instead of a bag. I worked this morning with a resist, foam this time, piece of silk material and some 'golden' net (Christmastime). I tryed some French knots and an other stitch (?) I have seen those at your site by MTRuth It was 30cm long, it schrunk till 21,5 a little bit too much, it had to be 23. I think it 'll fit her. Attachments:

Great job on the wrist wallet. Plus a great idea as I'm not sure anyone would recognize this as a wallet, just a beautiful bracelet. I was trying to work out what stitch you used, perhaps buttonhole or blanket stitch in a circle?

Elizabeth. I've just spotted your wonderful Iris vessel. It's a great colour combo and the frilly edges are gorgeous. Love it.
