I started a dress making evening class at the beginning of January with the intent of using Nuno felt in place of the more traditional fabrics, last night I was doing my homework, cutting out the pattern pieces from some lovely hand dyed Nuno and made a massive boob on the last piece- I forgot to turn the pattern piece over before pinning and cutting to get the mirror image. The air in my kitchen turned blue whe I realised what I done and again when I realised I don't have enough Nuno to complete it. I will have to make some more but I am so annoyed with myself! Grrr

Just popped into a local Nomad shop to see their sale, and the owner bought my fingerless gloves, she loved them and asked if she could buy them, and wants to see more!!! this cutting up and reinventing is the way to go I think

Oh no, is the piece not reversible? have you nuno'd it, I can see it's dyed, would the nuno hide the error - the colours are divine :-)

It had been nuno'd I just didn't have any post Nuno photos. Ah well, new piece of fabric is now in the wash, should be dry enough to finish my homework tomorrow for the class on Monday. Still kicking myself though! Well done on selling your gloves, it sounds like she bought them right off your hands, how cool is that !

Great idea Carole to cut up and repurpose. Sounds like it worked great since you sold the gloves.
Teri, don't you hate that? I always seem to have problems using patterns. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

Decided I must start of the year with some reorganizing and getting rid of things I no longer use. I had donated my late husband's clothing to a charity so I had a free closet. I sorted my roving in color blocks (reds, greens, blues, etc,), silks and scarves, embellishing fibers (bamboo, tussah, etc.), and then a rolling cart with my bubble wrap, bead board, bamboo roller, etc. This is the finished closet - Then I have another closet that I keep paints, beads, vases, floral design supplies, glue guns, etc. I took everything out of that closet and put it back after sorting and placing in bins where possible. I still need to label the bins but I can locate things now. Photos downloaded from Wordpress - need to figure out how to make them smaller. Now to go through papers and documents UGH! May have to take a break and do a little felting.

Love those hanging bags of wool Frances. That's a good storage idea. Did you want to come arrange my room?

Love those hanging bags of wool Frances. That's a good storage idea. Did you want to come arrange my room? Ruth - I bought those years ago I think at Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance after Christmas - they were advertised to hold gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, etc. and I used them for that purpose when I first got them. If I ever see them again I would buy more. And yes would come arrange your room - love organizing things. Frances

We had some last week Lyn, with lots of ice, but the last few days have been very pleasant, cold but sunny.
