I haven't done much felting lately, but I did paint some dye on a couple of scarves. Fibre reactive dyes with gutta resist on silk. Dragonflies and geodes:- I used alcohol to disperse the dye to form the 'geodes' Dragonflies and Geodes by Judith Robinson, on Flickr A take on Hepatica aka Liverwort. Your hand painted scarves are gorgeous! Love the riot of colors and the earthy designs.

Thanks. The last thing I need is more scarves, but I just love doing them - and keeping them!

Beautiful scarves Judith, I especially like the silver gutta on the butterflies, it really makes them "pop" from the background. Maybe you need an online shop to sell your creations, I'm sure they will be very popular

Gorgeous scarves Judith. I'd love to try it. Perhaps you can do a tutorial. :-)

Lovely scarves. Tell us how you use the alcohol to make the geodes please. Did you freehand draw the butterflies. drawing with gutta looks tricky.

Really good Judith! Beautiful effects. I reckon Teri could have a point about selling them.

Thanks for all the compliments. Ann - I drew the dragonflies freehand, but you can trace a design throughh the silk using a disappearing fabric marker as I did for the more structured design on the other scarf. The 'geodes' are made by using a dropper. A drop of dye (wet on wet) then a drop of alcohol in the middle, pure alchemy! Marilyn - I'll consider a 'tut', though I'm hopeless at remembering to take photos, I just get lost in the moment! I'm pretty uncomfortable about selling my stuff. I get all apologetic, feeling it's not good enough.

Judith - your work is definitely at a level to sell. I see people trying to sell work that isn't market ready all the time. You shouldn't be apologetic, if someone doesn't want to buy something, they certainly don't have to. But if you aren't comfortable with selling, that's OK too.

Thanks Ruth, I think perhaps I just need a bit more confidence in myself.
