It's amazing how creative people can be with the Legos. Thanks for sharing. Good luck to your husband on the Lego forum. And enjoy next weekend with your dyeing friends!

Fantastic hat Zed - very Dr Seuss! Brought a smile to my face just seeing it on the table, would love to see it on a cheeky little raggamuffin

I loved playing with lego as a child too but can't imagine the engineering thought processes that must have gone into building both spinning wheels and other kit. He should be very proud!

the colours and textures are adorable in your bag Aphee, you are clever as is your husband what a fun way to use lego - move over grandkids - granny has a spindle to make :-)
Zed the hat rocks, you rock to be able to make it, I agree with Teri and want to see it on cheeky ragamuffin

Great hat Zed. The Lego your husband used doesn't look like what I think of as Lego. It looks like a cross between lego and mecano. they have so many new shapes now. A friend made a chalka spinning wheel out of Lego.

Non-fiber posting here.... This is what I did in a class I took this past weekend instead of playing with fibers. It's a 'SteamPunk' dragonfly. The wings are fan blades, the body is a table leg, and the head is a dryer ball. It needs a few final touches, then assembly. A while ago I shared about 'rehoming' items I'd been hoarding. I took many of those to the class and I loved seeing how much fun the other people had using them. It felt very nice. IMG_20150726_154741111(1) by Elizabeth Sutherland, on Flickr An update on my studio: the contractor, who is horrible at communicating but comes highly recommended, has been waiting for a quote on custom windows. The word 'custom' adds zeroes to the price, so I said to go ahead with standard windows. In the meantime the stained glass windows are to be installed on my front porch tomorrow. I'm very excited!!

Cool dragonfly, that a big piece. Will you put it in your new studio? Probably will go on the front porch for now. A friend has offered me some fan blades. I was going to stop with this one, but the imagination is taking over
