What a good find Frances! Put on some of your favourite music or listen to an audio book while you work to relieve the tedium.

Good find Frances! I've purchased this and used it as embellishment. It works fine. Good luck with the scarf. I can't wait to see it!

Since my post - a post was made on Nuno Felting in the washing machine so I took my little piece and put it in a lingerie bag and threw it in with a load of towels. It shrunk alot so I am going to have a short scarf or not full it as much to cut down on shrinkage. The black outline shows the original size.

Frances, thanks for sharing your experience with experimenting with yarn as well as with making honeycomb scarf. Indeed you need a lot of patience to make a larger piece.

Good find, Frances The Martha Stewert one looks a bit felted or matted, or is it just the photo?

That’s a brave project to attempt, Frances, and I will be looking forward to photos of the finished project.

Zed - the washing machine made both yarns hard and fuzzy. It is not a very high quality or should I say soft wool and not something I would want next to my skin. (I have only been felting a year and I am rating the quality of wool - funny)

Oh my goodness......where will I find the time to explore all the fantastic ideas this group has inspired!!! Thank you..... My thoughts exactly. I used that kind of yarn/roving for a sample piece and it felted nicely - I used a sander on it.

I meant before felting, Frances, it doesn't look fibrey or hairy like I'd expect. I like the way it turned out after felting, it look good even if you wouldn't wear it

World of Wool sell a merino version of this, I think you have just inspired me to go shopping again I like the Martha Stewart version, perhaps some rainbow dyed white pencil roving....
