cool, I have the right kind of phone but not the right kind of plan. Mine is set so it only goes on line when I have wifi access. Might be interesting when I go away for a few days.

I do have a mobile 'phone, but unfortunately it's either a gas or paraffin model, apps? ? I can make and accept calls and even text messages, how's that for technology? Have to say it's more portable than the first we ever had (in the late '80's) which was the size of a house brick and the battery pack was the size and weight of 2 house bricks!! That's progress!!!!

...I don't have a web browser phone either. I've been thinking about one so I can visit the forums even when I'm away from home. But I might have to have two phones... The one I have can be dropped, steamed and even submerged and still keep working. Once I dropped it out of the 4wheel drive truck onto the pavement and into a puddle of road salted ice water. I didn't notice it for about 20 minutes... I just wiped it off and it's still working two years later... I haven't dropped it into a boiling dye pot... yet

I am so low tech when it comes to phones. I even disabled my text capability because I never used it and my kids, who wanted me to get text, never text me. Why should I pay a monthly charge for stuff I will never use. I know, I am really sounding like an old lady, (which I am, by the way)

Judy I only text because that all my kids do. You would never know they can make phone calls. I got my texting free as an insentive to renew my contract. We do use it a lot around the farm. We use out phones more like walki talkis.

I don't even have a contract! I have "Pay as you go" and rarely have to top it up as it's used so infrequently.
I must add:- I have 'form' with phones - I've been known to find mine at the bottom of the washing machine! They don't wash well! therefore I need to have the cheapest version possible.;p
