Hi everyone,
quick question. I'm working on a wet felted sculpture and had to stop during the fulling process. Is there a rule of thumb about leaving a piece soapy vs rinsing and restarting later?
Thanks! ~Shana

I always rinse it out if it's going to be more than 24 hours before I get back. Less than that, I leave it soapy.

I once left something for a week - it developed a bit of a pong because it was unable to dry sitting between two pieces of bubble wrap! However, I worked it, rinsed it well and added vinegar to the final rinse and it was fine.

I have ended up leaving something longer than intended and it dried out and I just wet it again and it was fine.

I often have more than 1 project on the go at any given time. I had totally forgotten 1 project and found it in a pile (oop's). It was dry and fine. Hadn't rinsed it. Just wet it and carried on. It was fine.

Thanks all! I worked on a piece left for 2 days and there was no issue with it. I appreciate the feedback.
