I think I've gone completely ga-ga having decided to incorporate seed heads and dried hydrangea florets into Icelandic wool, with silk hankies and bamboo fibre. Hung on a branch with handspun yarn of Icelandic wool and bamboo fibre. Winter Garden by koffipot, on Flickr detail of hydrangea florets by koffipot, on Flickr

Me too! How did you keep the hydrangea from falling apart?

Drat my post got lost. I like it too and wondered if you added the flowers after, holding them in with the silk hankies.

Thanks all. Ruth, the hydrangeas are remarkably robust! they were already dried out as I'd used them in some Xmas arrangements. I snipped them close to the floret and placed them onto already wet fibre. I then left them to soak up the moisture and 'encouraged' them to lie down flat!! ( I have to say that my husband says that I force the plants in the garden to grow in the direction I want - so I'm used to being 'bossy'!! A few wisps of wool fibre and silk just about holds them in place. It's a bit 'off the wall' but it hangs very nicely on the wall It's good to be different! Judith
