Hi all thanks for allowing me to join this forum, I will appoligize in advance in case this message ends up in the wrong place.
I am totally new to felting, and at the moment at the research stage, I haven't given it a go yet. I am interested in wet felting and maybe will give needle felting a go too. So please bare with me as it could take quite some time before this newbie is well up on the terminology and have something to show.

Welcome Polly! You've found the right place to learn and share! We all continue to learn from each other -- new or experienced or in between. We've had some great sharing lately especially for beginners on equipment and different methods of felting. I hope you'll share your work and ask questions.

Welcome Polly! You chose the right place. I'm sure you'll learn a lot from this community. I started felting a year ago, before that watched masses of videos on felting on YouTube but when it comes to the nitty gritty only experienced people can help you and here I found some wonderful people, always ready to answer your questions. Don't be ashamed of any questions. Enjoy.

Hello Polly! This is a great place to share and learn. Enough research - dive in - it's not as tricky as it looks and it's great fun.

Polly, hello and welcome! This is the very best place to learn about felting! Previous to my joining this forum, I had needle-felting experience but was limited in my knowledge of wet-felting. I personally have grown significantly in my knowledge of the process through the help and wisdom of Forum members. I would best describe this group as knowledgeable, giving, and non-judgmental.

Welcome Polly, I am new to this forum too but can already vouch for what a lovely and helpful group of people you will find in here, please do ask lots of questions, even those of us who have been felting for a while learn new tips as we all use slightly different techniques. I second Zed's comment - felting is one long, magical journey of experimentation
