Hello Everyone
My name is Teri and I live near Guildford in the UK. I discovered felt making just over a year ago and loved it so much I started a City and Guilds course in felt making, it has been a very steep learning curve but I am still thrilled to be working with such an adaptable medium. I love to experiment and hope that together we can find new and innovative ways of working with wool.
After months of wind and rain the sun is finally shining here and lifting my spirits, I feel inspired to work on something "happy". What are you working on at the moment?
Teri

Hello, Teri, and welcome! You will find this forum to be awesome in every way. I have learned so much since joining. Can you give me a link to the City and Guilds course in felt making? I don't believe we have anything comparable in the USA.

Hi Luvswool Yes of course, it is run by Artybird and is available as a distance learning course (that is what I am doing) and I believe they have students all over Europe, and as far away as Hong Kong and Australia. Posting in your work for assessment must get pricey when you live so far away but it's a good course and contains elements geared towards working on commission. Here is the link: www.artybirdcarnforth.co.uk/distance_learning_courses.html

Hi Teri - glad you joined us. It looks like you got the signature figured out. I look forward to hearing a bit more about the C&G Course. It is cold and snowy here today so just trying to stay warm. I need to start working on the Jackson Pollock challenge but I have a screen printing session scheduled for the end of the week. Hopefully, next week I'll be felting.

I'll just move out to the living room and take over the house. Hubby is used to it.

Hi Teri, Welcome to the forum It's good to see you here. I'm working on a tutorial for making a felted book cover with a delrin clip closure. It's hard to find a balance between taking enough photos to show all the stages clearly, and doing too many and making it look like a lot of hard work/too daunting to tackle. The lack of sun to take good photos is slowing it down too as I think of more things I need to add!
