I know this isn't really Off Topic, but it covers them all On the Studio website this week, we've been posting our reviews of the year, looking back on what we've accomplished. It'd be nice to hear what everyone else has achieved, whether you learned something new or had a favourite project?

Well, Zed, since you asked, I started wet felting close to a year ago, so during my first year I have learned a lot and everything has been new to me. I have made purses and hats and scarves and a couple of vessels. Now that I have "mastered" these techniques, I need to figure out what I really want to do - or maybe not! lol
I opened my felted pieces box to some special friends and relatives over the holidays and let them choose whatever they wanted and that was really fun. It was really amazing to me the things they took and what they left behind. I did keep my favorite purse, but they left my second favorite one - hooray! They did take the only scarves that I felt were decent, and no one took hats - ha. It was interesting to see what walked away!
Other than that, I have accumulated a decent array of equipment - including my new glass washboard and my drop spindle. and lots of wool, silk and other fiber.
It has been such a wonderful year learning and learning and experimenting and being led by so many of you here today. I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found this wonderful, sharing group of people. Thank you to all of you who continue to inspire me and answer my really dumb questions.

Like Pam, I started flting a year ago, when I was given a bag of coloured merino and corriedale, a couple of books and some felting needles as a Xmas present. I've learned so much over the year too, but not so much from the books I was given - no - my tutors are here on this site. Early on I discovered that I prefer wet felting to needle felting, I like the wet and sometimes messy, soap and water. Scarves, bags, purses, lampshades, slippers, hats, vessels, flowers, a gilet and a couple of 'paintings' have 'rolled off my bubble-wrap' I'm even learning to spin. I do have to put up with some lighthearted 'ribbing' from friends and family - however, no prizes for guessing that it is they who are at the front of the queue when I'm making donations I have sold some pieces, given many away to friends and family and still have some favourites to keep. I've been asked to join a Craft Gallery and will hopefully have enough things ready to join them in their next Craft Fair. Will need to get busy:) Last, but not least, I have a new circle of like minded friends here on the forum. Thank you all for your encouragement and guidance not to mention the pleasure of sharing the highs and the lows. Thanks to you all and here's to a creative and productive 2012.

Pam and Judith - it's amazing what you both have produced in only one year. It's so fun to see what you create and there aren't any dumb questions. I always learn something from everyone here. Thanks for joining the forum!

I agree with Ruth, I certainly hadn't tried as many things after a year! I still haven't tried hats or slippers or bags really, and only 1 scarf! I think I only made as many vessels as i have because I wanted to get some just right for gifts Yep, there are no dumb questions in felting! These last few months of getting together with everyone for this forum has been great

You have both been so busy I hadn't made that much my first year. It has been a great fun for me so far meeting lots of enthusiastic and encouraging people. I agree there are no stupid questions. I often don't realise what I know until someone asks and then I get inspired.
