I can't see a way of doing it. I probably just screen captured it (print screen/PrtScn button) and pasted into a Photoshop doc.

From the blending boards I've seen they are just huge boards with the carding cloth on them, you then have to roll the rolags. I use my large hand carders in a similar way for blending small amount, because like others, I have trouble with them the 'proper' way. My little carders are good for blending little bits of fibre, but you just can't beat a drum carder. I'm still annoyed with myself that I didn't get one years ago. Not that I could afford it, but still It really is versatile too, you can make stripey batts (maybe 'batts' isn't really the right word, because if you use commercial wool tops, it's like short, wide roving, not as aligned as tops, but certainly not a batt) or really well blended ones, smooth, or really texturey.

It's addictive though, I don't know how many 'cut out' pigeon photos I have!

Thanks, Carole Lyn, I do like that picture. One effect I use on Photoshop a lot is 'cut out' which that reminds me of. I was using it the other day toying with other ideas and applied it to an Happy Mondays sleeve design:

I'll help in any way I can. Just remind me I said so. Sorry, I just realised how flippant that could sound given the theme, but I have cognitive impairment and forget things constantly.

Alright Frances, NO NEED TO SHOUT!! Just kidding When you see all those proper artistic ones that look like fine art on Facebook, you can't help but feel a bit childish My sister really liked it, I sent her the photo and she said 'omg, that's fantastic' and asked if she could put it on facebook

That was great, Ruth, thanks I got to see the exhibition without knocking anything over in the shop I don't think I realised it was going to be such a big thing, you've all done really well to organise it and get it completed and the book published too.

Thanks, Cathy. I know it's the felt equivalent of a 5 year old's crayon drawing, but I do like it

Collars? I can't think of other names, either It depends how you want to wear it, kind of cross over at the front or wrap around. I made a nuno sample last year that I ended up wearing as one, it's 27 inches, that'd give a nice cross over at the front, but I wrap it round and tuck it in.

It sounds like you really enjoyed yourself, Judy I do love flax, I prefer natural not bleached, it has a gorgeous golden tone. Same with hemp, I don't see the point of bleached versions.

I don't think I will forget! In all honesty, if I'd realised it was a weekend, I wouldn't have applied. I thought it was a slot to give a workshop, then I realised it was a whole day, then weekend. Until last weekend I hadn't been out of the house doing things for a whole day in the past 2 and a half years, and hadn't been out 2 days in a row for probably 7 or 8, probably even more. I didn't have the strength to feed myself properly all week.
I would love to do it if I could.
