I have been using cotton nepps which are harder to use than wool ones.. So I have needle felted some white wool on then some cotton nepps and then some little white balls of wool. I prefer using wool nepps but the person I ordered them from was out of wool ones... Are cotton nepps easier to wet felt in?

The hare one is gorgeous too Maybe you could do a pale yellow flower, some kind of primrose? I've only used wool and viscose nepps, not cotton, but they look good on your piece.

Cotton nepps would have to be covered with wisps of wool to felt in. I haven't had a lot of success with nepps unless they are well covered in wet felting.

Yeah I thought that about cotton nepps. I prefer wool ones, a lot easier to needle and wet felt in. But these cotton ones do have a nice sheen to them. I think if I was doing a wearable piece the cotton nepps would probably fall off... But since it's going in a frame, they are anchored in enough.

I think the cotton nepps give a much brighter effect than you'd get with wool.
