Thanks for all the name alternatives for the washing soda. I called my grandmother and she thinks she saw it at Wal-Mart. My great grand said it use to be available when she was young. My mother was laughing (quietly) because my great grand was young 80/85 years ago, she's 90. So you can't always count on something being available that she used. lol Zed, Is it all about just trying things to see if it works, like the ties you felted to attach?

You could never get away with anything when I was younger. It was whisper down the lane. If great grand saw you doing something, she'd call grand down the lane to keep an eye out for you. By the time you got home, mom KNEW. We were good most of the time!

It's funny what actually is still available these days with all the other 'new' products. They sell Washing Soda in our corner shop. I wish I had more time to try things just to see if they work, Billieanne When I'm rich I'll get an assistant like all the famous artists and they can try out my ideas

Zed, Know what you mean about more time. I don't want an assistant; I want a housekeeper. I always clean up at the end of the day no matter what I'm working on and put tools away and clean my bench top. On Monday night I worked on some metal projects and between different processes, I did laundry, dishes, repotted some plants, played on the computer. By the time I got everything cleaned up and went to bed it was 2pm.

Ann, You stole the word right out of my mouth.....MINIONS! Only thing is, I'd probably end up with minions like those in the movie "Despicable Me"

Karen, Do the Flickr instructions here>> feltandfiberstudio.proboards.com/thread/14/adding-photo-post still work? I'm going back and forth between an old laptop and a new one and photos are everywhere. I think the only thing I have on Flickr is mainly cars, trucks and some metal lamination called snakeskin. Not sure what's on PhotoBucket. I usually just throw pics on desktop to send to family and friends. Anyway, I make copper bowls and jewelry. Some of the techniques I can do are forging, casting, hydraulic die forming, enameling, fold forming, etching, copper electroforming.

Yes - the flickr instructions work. Just copy BBB code and paste it in your post here.

I posted a link to my Flickr pics. There isn't much as far as metal working. I'm a terrible picture taker. I will look through PhotoBucket and old laptop for jewelry pics. I'll take pics tomorrow of bowls I'm working on. I've got a big corvette show this weekend and don't know if I'll get to post. Have to finish all the mowing tomorrow before weekend. Billie

Found your link on another thread. Your pots look great, as do the cars, though I know very little about them. My brother's lifelong hobby is restoring classic cars and motorbikes. His wife always knows where to find him!
