Here is my firt piece in alpaca. The grey in merino. Wet felted using the dryer method. I have lost 24'' in lenght and 6 in with!!! I have made a seperate brooch that i have sew to it. I'm not 100% happy with it but for the first I think it's ok.

It looks beautiful. It is amazing how much it shrinks, isn't it? What part are you unhappy with?

Thank you ladies. I am a perfectionist.... I know...nothing is in this world. It must be the edges that I don't like...to wavy maybe. Anyway fot the first one, i should be proud. It is really soft on the positive side.

I love wavy edges! The colours are soothing and the scarf is very pretty. Be proud of it.

I agree, wavy edges are nice. That's one of the reasons I like felt. It's nice, organic edges

I like the edges that way but I wanted them straight when I first started. You can use your steam iron to straighten them up if you want to. steam it and then pull the edges out. Make sure you don't just pull the edge you can get quite a lot of stretch if you pull a little bit over the larger aria from the middle to the edge. I hope that makes sense.

That looks gorgeous! Alpaca looks so different to merino doesn't it? I bet it is so soft. I don't think it's that easy to get 'straight' edges with alpaca, maybe it's because of the crimp? The crimp on yours is lovely.

It is the wavy edges that make these scarves so desirable. When you seen them on models on Pinterest, they drape the body so well. Just beautiful. And I love the flower.
