I started with this scarve , during a wet felting class in september (the fromply look comes from wearing it this winter): As a first timer, I am not unsatisfied, but it is not flowy as I would like it to be... This a work in progress, I intend to needle felt a figure and some flowers, and perhaps even use some stitching, but I am a bit hesitant of that And last, but not least, a pod made with the tutorial of Rosiepink (your tutorials are really great!). Also, much improvements can be made, but I am not unhappy with it. I plan to make a purse with this color combo (it is actually a very rich color purple).

Well done. As a beginner, it seems you have started really well on your felting journey. We are never completely happy with what we've achieved, but that's what keeps us going. Best wishes and happy felting.

I'm glad you liked the pod tutorial and I think your pod is very pretty. A purse made with that colour combo would be fab!
Your felt art looks promising. Don't be hesitant - just do it. It's only a bit of felt so what have you got to lose? You have everything to gain by learning by doing.
The most exciting part of felting is the learning and experimenting and I'm learning new things all the time.

Thank you for your kind comments! I will also be using your tuto for the bag, Lyn, to get the basics I was a bit nervous about showing pictures as you are all such talented and skilled artists. Everyone was a beginner once, I know, but I have been looking at your blogs and you all make such winderful things, it was a bit intimidating

These are great. As Lyn says, you learn by doing. And if a piece doesn't work out you can just cut it up and use pieces of it for something else. We have all had pieces that didn't work out and still do. I don't think I have a photo of my first wet felt but I'm sure it wasn't a beauty!

I don't have a photo of my first piece either, but it wasn't great. I recently used it to pad out a tailor's ham - Waste not want not!

I think my first pieces are thankfully lost to the world. I no one took any pictures.
