I finally got round to a little experimentation with some nuno felting! After a while I was convinced I had done something wrong then suddenly fibres started to move in the right direction and the 'shrinking' began! I was really amazed by how much it shrank. I used a very open cotton scrim and some merino, just on one side - next time I would like to try less wool but on both sides of the scrim. Anyway here are the results! feltingandfiberstudio.files.wordpress.com/2016/08/xaiz6ekjojilirlopnc7.jpg

Looks great Amanda. Nuno is a little slow to start. I love to use less wool on nuno as it gives it more texture. Looking forward to seeing more experiments.

Great job. You got lots of texture. When I teach people think it will never work but it always does. they are always amazed when it all comes together. Don't forget to post it in the second quarter challenge too.

Nice texture. Scrim is great for nuno, especially when the wool is laid out very thinly.
