The other day I was clicking around the internet, looking at blogs. I clicked on a name that was highlighted and came across a website I recognised. It was a needle felt artist called Gretel Parker, I seemed to remember her site from years ago and clicked to see her blog. There was the saddest entry on there, but if you have time please read it, it is heartbreaking though. allaroundus.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/his-last-walk.htmlI knew I had seen something relevant to this a few weeks ago, when my girlfriend was staying and I wasn't really keeping up with internet stuff, so I hunted through my blog list and found an entry by Liz from thatfuzzyfeeling. It linked to this site: www.fundsforgretel.blogspot.co.uk/It ends on the 30th March, so I don't know if they are still accepting donations, but raffle tickets are only £1 each.

As one who suffered a nervous breakdown in 1991, I can tell you that depression makes chemical changes in the brain that causes irrational thinking. You are unable to pull yourself out. You need help. Glad that I was able to get it before I got to that stage.

Sorry to hear you went through that, Judy, I'm glad you got help.
Like 'migraine', people use the word 'depression' too easily these days for things that are nowhere near the true meaning. It pretty much strips them of their meaning so that they are trivialised.
There are only about 11 more days for this but if anyone wants to spread the word, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Thank you for letting us know about the fundraiser Zed - let's hope enough people buy tickets so that she keeps her cottage.
