Did some felting with my daughter today - we shared a project i.e. took turns with the rubbing and rolling. It didn't turn out great. We'll wait for it to dry and see if it's worth using some embroidery thread on it! Back to writing tomorrow.

Did some drawing this morning in preparation for some projects and then went to the board meeting of our Senior's Art Guild. The order of business was that art is not selling; our biggest exhibit has run aground due to cost and lack of interest. We have to decide if we want to continue putting it on every year. Will have to put it up for a vote.

Oh Judy - that's sad - lack of interest. Anyone who loves art loves life, as it's said.

Judy that is sad but unfortunately spaces to put events on are becoming so. the space out guild used for our exhibition and sale will triple by next year. Ann

I just concentrated on the exhibits that are offered to us for very minimal cost. I got two volunteers who consented to be show chairmen. This will really be helpful.
I did get a lot accomplished today, as my Strip Landscape class is ready to go. I mounted my "Snickers" on black canvas and she will be on my blog in the morning. I took another look at my steampunk project. My husband took a clock apart so that I have plenty of elements. So I just have to get a plan. Maybe more than one plan.

Wow Judy - weren't you a busy girl?? I worked on matting a bunch of my pieces and made some gray scale croppers. I've got to get a bunch of my pieces framed up now that class is finished.

Gray Scale Croppers??? I spent the morning typing up and emailing my Class Teaching Outline to those that I have email address for. This should help them know what to bring with them. I really hate taking classes where you just pack a bunch of stuff and have no idea what you will be doing with it. That is one of my pet peeves. I always wind up with too much and don't use half of it. They got a class description and supply list when they signed up.

Like matting for a picture but cut into two pieces. So you can frame a piece that you're working on to see what it needs. Gray scale paper ranges from black to white with three neutral grays in between. Then you can see what value your matting/framing should be before choosing colors etc. There's a photo on my blog.

I did my blog post. I almost forgot. And I fought with my phone. You would think updating your phone would be easy but no its not. I had the donut operating system and now I have the éclair operating system and it kept trying to sell me the ice cream sandwich operating system. Such silly names.

You deserved a day off Judy - you've been going like a steam train lately.
I'm fiddling about with cobweb felt again - bowl making.

I'm champing at the bit to get on with my nuno jacket, also have some summer dress fabrics arriving any day in the hopes of having a proper summer this year. So what am I doing? Would you believe - MEN'S TROUSERS - again! Obviously made too good a job of the last ones! Perhaps if I work myself into a position of incompetence.............. Ah well.............. at least it's fibre!!
