Many, many years ago, or maybe it was just last year, I said on the Studio site that I wanted to write more tutorials or maybe e-books about using other fibres and fabrics in felting. I tentatively started working on how to make it happen, I was a bit scared of being too committed because other similar plans had come to nothing previously. But then I found out about trying self employment on a government scheme and took it a bit more seriously. I finished my first one a few months ago, but then I had to write a business plan and apply and phone a million people...yesterday I found out I was allowed to start, so...... My first e-book called Beyond Nuno: A Guide To Using Fabrics in Wet Felting is now 'e-published' It's all about using different fabrics, why and how they felt the way they do, how different effects are achieved etc. I hoped to show that there's more to nuno felting than just ruffled silk scarves and that it is possible to control the outcome of nuno felting. I'm hoping to make it available through my blog soon, but for now it's just available on Craftsy. www.craftsy.com/pattern/felting/beyond-nuno/45714

How exciting looks fantastic, your wonderful photos, as always, and your depth of knowledge will make it a fantastic resource for anyone interested in felting. Well done, and a big well done getting a business plan done and approval for it. I had not heard of Craftsy before, looks interesting, ohoh how am I going to get anything crafty done when I keep getting side tracked by the computer and all its wonders. More will power is required.

Thanks Jane The business plan was the hard part and finding out how to apply to get approval! I was just checking emails and PayPal etc and thinking the same thing about getting things done, that's all before Craftsy, flickr etc And, I see I already have 2 sales

Looks wonderful. I see so many of those beautiful scarves on Pinterest. I know so little about how they are made. Good luck with this adventure.

Thanks Judy There really isn't very much out there online about felting and people always ask how certain effects are done and say it never turns out and they don't know why even though they followed instructions, so I thought I'd approach it from the 'why' end. I added the book to my blog yesterday. The first person who bought it there had trouble, the process didn't go how it was, but it turns out PayPal was set so that I had to manually accept payments in foreign currencies, as soon as I accepted it went fine. I changed the setting now. I wouldn't have even known that setting was there. Maybe people wait for a favourable exchange rate to accept?

The pictures in the book are great Zed. I have only managed to read the introduction so far but I did go look at all the pictures first. I am sure I will learn something.
Defiantly promote this on the blog.

Thanks, Ann I really didn't want to compromise on photos at all, and when the finished PDF was so large, I was worried it would be too big to upload anywhere or email to people. I spent ages trying everything to reduce size without losing quality but nothing worked. Then Craftsy upped their upload limit to 50mb and e-junkie have a 50mb limit too and nothing is emailed! I'll do a giveaway soon on the blog.
