Greetings all.
While I keep up with the forum, I've not shared my work here before. This piece was needle-felted, machine-felted, wet-felted and then a second layer was added: needle, machine and wet again. I often combine techniques to get the desired finish I'm after.
The finished piece is 13" x 12".

Shana, I have gone to your website and am very excited to see more. I know where I will be going the next time I am in Tenn! I have a relative in Erwin.

Thanks all! Sulasmom, Erwin is a hike from Nashville, but if you time it right there is a nice fiber festival in Dickson TN at the end of May. www.tnfiberfestival.com/ Ann, I've been painting for 20+ years and did a series of faces & figures very much like this back in 2002-2006. No references, although they always have my nose for some reason

Painting and fiber art are quite different mediums to work with. You did a good job, especially with no photo to work from.
