Wonderful cover Caterina! I think your solution of avoiding sewing is great. It looks like it will work just fine. And as for the corners, they certainly don't look bad in the first photo

And as for the corners, they certainly don't look bad in the first photo Thank you, Ruth! About the corners, I just know and can feel with my hands that they are not quite there, but I guess that I will have to be patient and wait for when I will have a bit of time. If I use the cover immediately, I may use my time in the bathroom to rub the corners now and then, I suppose, until I am happy with them 😂

Ah, and another thing: I have tried to put the cover on and off a few times and it is quite easy, if you are a bit careful. So, I was thinking that I can make other covers with the same resist, and change them if I want.

The stool cover is so pretty and the colours are just right for a bathroom. Your way of fitting it is genius! The cover must make the stool more comfortable to sit on too.

So, I was thinking that I can make other covers with the same resist, and change them if I want. That's a very good idea Caterina. It's a very pretty cover. I'm going to pinch your idea to make a cover for my workshop chair (when I can find time!) 😜

Thank you, Ann and Ann and Lyn! You are all very kind. I am glad that the colours distract from the fact that I did not manage the exact same blue as the legs of the stool! :-) I also like the fact that now it can be paired with different bathroom accessories of different colours, not only blue or white or grey as it was before!
The idea of a chair cover is intriguing, but I guess my solution will work only for certain types of chairs. Anyway, for the others, one can go down the path of sewing!
I made my cover with only three merino layers, I did not want it particularly thick. We are not using the stool to sit on, I do not think that it will stand the weight as it was likely born as small bedside table (I found it when it already was in its upcycled stool incarnation and had lost its small drawer, but I bet it originally had one) : we put magazines and the occasional book on it, to have them handy in...all occasions, ahem. :-D It is quite close to the sink, though, so we put there only stuff that can withstand a few water drops (we have kids) or that we can damage a little bit.
