I'm not jealous....I'm not jealous..... If I say it often enough maybe I'll believe it. My daughter, Annie (one half of rosiepink) has a new studio. There's some photos on the latest blog post. www.rosiepink.typepad.co.uk/

Wonderful work space! Light and airy and all of those materials visible in the wire drawers... awesome!

The new studio looks great and I am also envious of her artistic abilities. The new pieces are lovely. I will have to give the blog post a proper read later.

Annie inspires me.
I was brought up to sew straight seams and knit/crochet evenly. Making mundane articles was a way of life until these same things became available more cheaply than we could make them.
Then those skills became hobbies and became fun and all the rules were broken.
But an old dog needs lots of patient training to learn new tricks and Annie is always encouraging me to 'loosen up'.
(Did I just call myself an old dog?)

so lovely, I'd be right at home there. I also decided on white for the studio thinking all the fibre on display would add enough colour.

Dark horses ain't we Karen?
We did a series of tutorials for a mag called 'Popular Crafts' and we gave them freely in return for a monthly mention of our ebook/pdf tutorial. A sort of barter arrangement really. Anyway, the editor of the magazine has moved to a new magazine, 'Make and Craft' and she wanted to re-use part of one of our tutorials in the new mag. In return she's given us a big mention again. It was very generous of her and we're delighted!
