I feel weary with this weather its been so wet now for a few weeks without much respite .I clean the goat pens out as quick as I can and then the goats go back into their pens with lovely hay and browse. I have to laugh really my cantancerous old girl Blanche sulks and stands out int he rain until she is allowed back in, her face is a picture. This time last year we actually had snow on the ground where we live (rare for us) I didn't get to do a snow angel or enjoy it as I managed to throw my back out. Roll on summer I promise I won't winge about how hot it is, sunny days certainly make my day easier but I have a good set up and everything is streamlined so I get more studio time.

We've had a really wet summer and I agree that it does make life difficult! But rather that than drought.

we are in the middle of a drought. so If you would please stop hogging all the rain and let us have some. we aren't to bad right where we are but just a few miles in any direction and they haven't had rain for 6 weeks. We had a good rain about a week and a half ago. the only good thing about dry is we don't have mosquitoes

I think the first part of our year til the end of April was the driest on record (for us) and since then it's been the wettest on record, with about 3 heatwaves inbetween. I think they broke records too, especially the one in March.
I like the rain, but it can be restrictive when you need to do things.

They are selling off animals around here because there won't be enough feed for the winter. Pasture is burnt and we usually graze through October. they are feeding hay a d the cost of that has doubles already. First cut of hay was good but most wont get a second never mind a third. We might get rain on the week end. I have my fingers crossed. I hope you dry out.
