I am trying really hard to not put the heating on, but it is bl**dy freezing!
The local observatory claims it's 14.5C, but it feels colder than that! This time yesterday it was 11C! The wind is still gusting, but the rain has finally stopped.
I just want to snuggle on the couch with a blanket, a hot chocolate and the heating on!!

S'ok here at the mo. Bit draughty though and we've had stuff blown over in the garden - but we've had a few brief glimpses of the sun and it's been about 16C this afternoon. Indoors, with no heating on, the thermostat is reading 21C - so I'm cosy.

About a week and half ago I was sleeping with a corner of an empty duvet cover over me! I keep adding more and more and more, I'm upto 2 summer (4.5tog) quilts and two microfibre/fleece blankets now.
I might have soup for tea!

I don't want to rub it in Zed, but I've got some of my smaller windows open ...

We had that cold, rainy weather for a couple of weeks. I was walking around with a prayer shawl a friend made for me. Then we got summer, no spring. It's been 80s (26 c) and will be 90 (33c) over the weekend. Be careful what you wish for. :-). I hope it's not that drastic there.

Its been cold and rainy here too. coats and sweaters and the heat on in the car. It was 7c overnight. It was very tempting to turn the heart on. Finally today we got back to 25c. Supposed to be warn for the next to weeks I hate to say summer is here. I don't trust Mother Nature.

You are correct in saying be careful what you wish for Marilyn, 33c would see me off! In our household we think twenty's plenty!

When it was baking hot I was sitting out in my garden with effectively a wool blanket over my knees, embroidering it! Then the weather turned cooler and more vicious, and I had no blanket. A bit of rubbing and rolling kept me warm but the evenings were a challenge so I snuggled up with a heated wheatie bag. However, on the plus side, the north sea has warmed up so it's comfortable to swim most mornings (around 12 deg C I believe)

You were right, Marilyn, we're all melting at the moment, it's around 30C over the UK now! Marian, I was stood at the bus stop yesterday, absolutely swealtering, and I noticed when I went to get my camera out that my shorts (cotton) were hot, but my bag (nuno felt) wasn't, even the cotton parts of it. I know Merino is insulating, so last night lying in bed swealtering, I wondered if maybe wool would keep me cool, so just grabbed a piece of felt off my table and lay it over my legs. It didn't really make any difference either way, which was interesting in itself

Ooh, their products look nice, Lyn! When I win the lottery... I had seen that, but forgotten about it, Ann The stand from my fan broke, so now it lies on the floor, I should really get a new one to try that!
