Has anybody wet felted with this before? L-820 TAS Brown Scoured from RH Lindsay - rhlindsaywool.com/product/l-820-tas-brown-scoured/ I'm looking for dark fibers but really want to keep the price low - $10/lb or under. I will try it myself, but want to see if anybody has experimented with this fiber. My intent is to make a rug or heavy blanket. If you have other fiber suggestions I am all ears. I'm in Minneapolis, so if you know of any local sources I should reach out to please share! Thanks!

I have not used that particular wool from RH Lindsay but I recently got the grey mixed breed scoured wool and it was full of dirt and vegetable matter. Not sure how this scoured wool will be.
I don't know of any local sources in Minnesota. Hopefully someone else will have some suggestions for you.

I have used it--it is not very dark. It does felt well, and is relatively soft but does have occasional VM. Their Domestic Fine Brown is dark and felts well, but I think they are discontinuing it.

It looks like it should felt well. if you are willing to was a fleece yourself you may find something through your local 4H or county(state maybe) extension office. Do you have a local spinners guild? they may have members that sell or be able to point you in the right direction. I thin the 25 micron count would be the finest you would use for a rug. a rug takes a lot of wear so is usually made with courser wools.
