Just wonder if anyone knows of a good online painting course? Preferably from your own experience and a reasonably priced one.

I haven't done any online painting courses. There seemed to be some good content for free videos here: www.youtube.com/channel/UCULpiAa8nIl_e68y59VYjHQYou can look at the free ones and then see if you think the membership is worth whatever they are charging. I watched a couple of free videos and they seemed good.

I know Bob Ross from PBS is on netflix. I think you can see most of it on PBS as well. I bet its on you tube too. He has been doing how to paint for years.

What kind of painting? I do botanical watercolour and can recommend Billie Schoell for that ... But that's a very narrow field if it's not what you're into!

Thank you Ann and penguin ! I want to find some basic but still detailed course for complete novice. I'm not interested in technicalities of any particular kind of painting but more general things - proportions, perspective, composition, etc. I hope it will improve my felting !

I have found some good books in the library for these types of things. I think one was called 7 steps to painting but I will have to look it up.

Thank you Ruth! I'll check it in the library next week and if it's not there order it. It's reasonably priced on Amazon.
