Nada the links were bunched together and didn't work. I edited them if you don't mind so we could see the pics. They all look great. What a nice opportunity to do the fashion show. Good luck! If you'd like to write a blog about the experience that would be great. Just let me know,

Thank you for rectifying this, Marilyn. I'm not much of a writer so don't expect a blog but I will give a short report and attach some photos.

Gorgeous, Nada! I love that colour blue, it seems like I've been 'chasing' it for years, and recently got a new shade from WoW, which seems to be it. It goes perfectly with white.

Thanks for sharing Nada. Your models were cute and the clothes for the fashion show were terrific. My favorite was the purple. Your booth also looked great, a lot of variety. I'm glad it was successful for you. I look forward to seeing how the next one turns out. Good luck!
I had to laugh that you were in a place where there were more sheep than people. Where did you stay or did you commute each day?

Thank you all for your comments. Ann, yes there is an interesting piece in the picture you mentioned. As I promised I am going report about the events on the first day of the Wool festival in Solčava. This is Solčava i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20020_zpsnb95n9fx.jpgThe event started with an exhibition of felted wall hangings: felters from different regions exhibited some very interesting pieces:http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20010_zps6tmrqbec.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20011_zpsa3asjmuo.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20012_zps1bye7ztk.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20007_zpskyesruma.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20009_zpsddo6krqr.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20003_zpsvlsixwen.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20005_zpsmwhme7yy.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20006_zpseyauuwoz.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20004_zpsmh0o9x3v.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20001_zpsfkvbrc91.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20002_zpsk7twbzgo.jpgSolčava is located close to the Austrian border snugged in a small Alpine valley. Behind the border, we still have Slovenian minority living in Austria. Since the whole region is divided by high mountains and people do not meet very often, the idea was to make a joint picture where felters from different regions would particicpate. The project was designed so that we started making a picture in Solčava with local felters working together. A semi product would then travel to Austria where the Slovenes from diaspora would continue, adding more elements. After a month the picture would be sent back to Slovenia to another region where local felters would finish the picture. The central topic was to express t the problems of people being geographically separated, what are aour common interests, problems, etc. This is how we started: We gathered around a blank canvas - a white base which had previously been made.ready to add motives (in the middle you can see the peaks of the mountainsw). They brought some wool dyed with natural colours i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20021_zpsfczc4uaf.jpg First we had to do some brainstorming to come up with ideas what to put on the picture. This took us quite long and finally we decided that we need to express the ideas of common elements which unite us: this is nature, the language, the roads. The idea was to use only wool dyed with natural colours i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20022_zpsyyu7cyyu.jpg We decided to divide the rug into segments, leaving some empty spaces for other felters who would complete the picture later on.So here is the picture in the making i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20029_zpsdqgyzga9.jpg i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20028_zps0xwdqfrn.jpg I was working with a lady and we decided to present a flock of sheep, a dog and a wolf (actually we wanted to make a bear but ended up with a wolf) i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20025_zpsqnmo6wbn.jpg It was a hard job felting the rug (the diameter was about 2.5 metres). We did a lot of rubbing (it was difficult to reach the middle so a woman went on her knees) i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/festival%20volne%20Solava%201.%20dan%202016%20026_zpslw9ssjwy.jpg and finally rolling and rolling ... In the end one of ladies took the picture home and washed it. The next day the picture was exhibited. i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab85/nvukadinovic/Solava%202016%20modna%20revija%20025_zpsfld3i8z2.jpg As you can see there are some empty spaces left for later additions. Since the piece has been felted completely other felters will probably add some needle felted or stitched elements. The picture will stay in Solčava for a mont and then it will travel to Austria and next year come back to Slovenia. It was great fun working on this joint project.
