Hi everyone. I am a small time late in life farmer in Elk Point, AB, raising some fibre animals. There are exotic breeds of wool sheep, a few Angora rabbits and goats, Cashgora goats, a llama and an alpaca, and me. I started this journey 5 years ago, coming from Vancouver, and never having grown up on a farm or having any farming experience. Northeastern Alberta is not really the best place to have a fibre farm because we have to feed hay just about the whole year round and the vegetative matter does get into the fleece. I have lots of fleeces, but am a poor marketer, so they basically just sit here, but this winter I am planning to learn to felt and use some of my beautiful wool. Thanks for having me and I hope to learn lots. Eileen Attachments:

Welcome to the group. Can you tell us what your breeds of sheep are? The lamb is very cute. I hope you were not bothered to much by the fires in Fort Mac

Welcome! Glad you joined us. Please do tell us the breed of the sheep and how much you would charge for a fleece. Some of our members might be interested in purchasing wool from you.
