I'm Anthea and I have finally managed to register successfully with the Forum (had a few initial problems). I hand spin, knit and make felt. I have knitted for the longest length of time but have discovered the delight of making my own yarn, so I try not to buy anything commercial anymore - except to knit for my two granddaughters. I've dabbled in felting for quite a while but later last year, I decided I needed to take it more seriously and began a City and Guilds Level 2 course. I can't spend much time on it, so it is going very, very slowly. I have managed some workshops, however. I used to keep Ryeland sheep but no longer own stock. I spend a lot of time with my daughter and granddaughters who live an hour and a half's drive from me, consequently, I spend a lot of time in a car and this detracts from the time I can spend working with wool. I like to write about what I make and my general life and have 2 blogs, one of which I have only just begun. We have a motorhome which we are still learning to exploit and I always take things to do - even my folding spinning wheel. I hope the travels in this will be the means by which I see more sheep and also, more craftspeople and their work. I look forward to following others on this platform. We live in quite an isolated place and I see few people, so it is good to communicate other ways.

I was going to upload some photos of my felted pieces but I am not sure I am doing it right. If I have, here is a Nuno scarf I did a few years ago....with apologies if this hasn't worked as I intended!
