We had a snow storm yesterday. 51.2cm(20 inches) down. A one day record. The school busses are canceled for the second day in a row. I don't remember that ever happening before. Todays job is shoveling the places the snow blower on the tractor can't go.

Yuk, 20 inches of snow! We’ve had very little snow this year, so far. Knock on wood and all that. How do your farm animals fare? Do they stay indoors?

We have had more but not all in one day. it is usually a storm that lasts several days. The sheep don't seem to mind the snow at all. They have access to the barn but they break trail to where ever they want to go and are quite happy to have a nap and wake up under a blanket of snow. The pigs stay indoors. the chicks don't mind snow if you sprinkle a little hay on top. I don't think they can see where to go well enough wen it's all white.
Ruth is probably laughing, living in ski country on a mountain.

WOW!!! The crocus are up and many more daffies. It's been in the 70'sF here lately. While I like the temperatures, I wish we had more of a winter. I've barely worn my winter sweaters!

I wish we had 20 inches of snow here. It's been too warm and we still have nearly half the ski season left. Send it our way

Our ski hills are happy but you can have it Ruth. We are down in to the deep freeze for the next couple of days and Then up above freezing for a few days then an other storm. I feel like mother nature has gone crazy.

That's a lot of snow Ann! Whilst I enjoy snowy winters, not least for the reflected light which helps us through the short days, I wouldn't like that much.
The ski season in Europe hasn't been great either Ruth. My son didn't mind this year though; snow, ice, a cast and crutches are not not the best mix!

We have snow on the ground here, but way below our normal snowfall. Tonight a little snow, tomorrow we are supposed to have freezing rain, then more snow on top of that.
