Hi my names Mary also know as MCH. I've been a cross stitcher and embroider on and off for 40 years. Now just before you think I'm on the wrong web site I recently discovered needle felting, by doing a workshop on nuno felting a flower brooch on sari silk.
And then I went to a craft fair in Manchester. Oh my I was in seventh heaven plus I met up with the teacher from my 1st workshop, of course I came away with a lot of new felting wool. My bank manager had to go and lie down in a darkened room after that!!
I also discover wet felting with a resist another flower at another craft fair. Had fun with that.
Since then I completed a landscape kit and won a prize for it. I brought a 5 needle felting embellisher and a new sewing machine. This year I'm hoping to carry on learning about this fascinating craft experimenting with different wools, textures.
So that about me still a newbie at felting but having great fun.

Welcome to another Brit! I also started with embroidery and got into felting relatively recently. I love it! I hope you keep experimenting and enjoying, and look forward to seeing your work.

We're swamped with Northerners now Hi from Manchester, Mary and welcome to the forum. Have you heard of World of Wool? They are a brilliant family business in Huddersfield who have an unbelievable range of wool, fibres and pretty much anything fibre arts related, and are very, very cheap! I think you'll be joining your bank manager when you compare their prices to craft fair ones! worldofwool.co.uk/
