Here is the finished piece. I really like it, but have no idea what to do with it - lol. I love the contrast between the matt wool and the shiny threads - guess that doesn't show up too well on the pic, but...... Leaves by pamd8, on Flickr

Thanks, Zed. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out, and surprised. Got to try another something similar, I think.

Wonderful! It looks like a wall hanging to me. I love it. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Pam, that's a really beautiful piece.
The contrast between the shiny threads and matt wool is only easy to see in close-up isn't it? How about a 'macro' shot of a small piece of it?

Thanks so much to each of you.
Lyn, I took a macro shot and it does show up the contrast better, but right now it isn't on flickr, so I can't post it here. I'll do that tomorrow if my eyes are better. It's taken all day just to be able to sit at the computer a few minutes (getting old is not FUN!).
Karen, the flowers are hand embroidered from the tast tutorial. That was really fun!

I like it too. it is getting quite frameable. Are you going to do some of the pink leaves maybe with magenta or purple thread?
