I have been learning to crochet and I'm quite liking it, its so easy to get on a train with your crochet - anyway dilemma with or without flowers, someone said more flowers......

With flowers. I agree, crochet is fab on journeys - much easier than knitting!

I would add more flowers if it's with flowers. But I like it plain.

without flowers feels a bit more sophisticated - if crochet can ever feel sophisticated!! the flowers feel more homey or quirky - I've got a really trendy black bikers jacker with great zips, a flowery shawl would go a treat with that :-)

I prefer it without but if you are going with the flowers I would add more. It will look more deliberate and less as an after thought.

I have gone for flowers and more of them, and some little seed beads, thank you for your ideas :-)

Crochet, how cool? My choice--without flowers. Maybe some embellishing but maybe some other textile? Beading, ribbon, hand-embroidery, wool roving overlay… P.S. I have never done crochet!

I love the flowers! I crochet too and I'm glad you're enjoying it. Investing ways of combining crochet and felt at the mo ... So far limited success but really it can't be rocket science; there must be a few good ways to do it!

One woman who came to one of my workshops made a squarish piece of nuno felt and then she toddled off to add crochet, I did see at it's early stages - a lot of freeforom crochet - it was looking good - I'll need to chase her up and see how she's getting on :-)

It would be lovely to hear how it's getting on ... Even better if she'd like to share a photo! :-)
